01-09-05 - Eaton Canyon after just about 4 days of constant rain. This is California's 7th
major storm this winter and its a doosey. It started sometime last Thursday and is expected to
keep dropping rain and snow till this next Tuesday.
For reference the exposed cliff that you can see in the picture below is about 15 feet high
from the water to the top edge. All the picturs below are linked to larger versions.
James and I were watching this for just
over 20 minutes and in that time the
cliff we were standing over had eroded
by several feet. Starting with the first
shot we took (above) then on to the
couple below the change is obvious.
A couple shots of the Siearra Madre Canyon wash that
is within a few hundred feet of my parents house. Its
been at least a decade since water has filled the wash
across the entire width.
